Following my recent weekend as a Kart Marshal, the past weekend I spent at Silverstone National Circuit for the very first time for the 750MC Event.

The morning started off at “the wing” to sign on for the event.

Following this, I headed over to the assembly area where I was based for both the Saturday and Sunday, and got to meet the Post Cheif Marshal Sarah, who was lovely and so welcoming to me even with it being my first time.

I got straight into action, some may say the deep end but thats the best way that I learn!

On the Saturday morning we had some qualifying sessions, so I was making sure we had all of the cars we were expecting and if we hsd any cars we were missing ot even not expecting, we passed this back to Race Control, the cars were lined up in order of when they arrived, then released onto track when it was ready.

After qualifying was completed it was time for the races for the day! With this we received our grid sheets from Race Control, and then ensured all cars arrived and placed into the correct positions which was a good challange as they all didn’t arrive in their grid order.

Following a nice busy day it was suddenly over, the day definitely went so fast.

It was also the first chance I got to wear my proban overalls out and about, whoch I found comfy enough and wasnt too bad in the heat!

I will also soon have my custom fit BMMC overalls soon so they should have am even more comfy fit!

After sleeping it was suddenly time for another day at Silverstone where I opted to go back to assembly since I was happy there the following day and got on so well with Sarah, you could say we made a great team!

We had 3 qualifying sessions to start the day followed by racing the rest of the day!

We were lucky enough there was a 90 minute race towards the end of the day, so we had a bit of time to watch the cars on track before we were available to receive the last race of the day!

For the last race I managed to green flag the cars out of the assembly area to release them onto the track, a great memory thats for sure.

Just like that the 2 days then came to an end. A brilliant experience, and I was made to feel so welcome it just added to a brilliant time!
